A hook beats a holster when you swap tools often. You hang the drill, climb, grab it again and keep moving. It holds most cordless drills, nail guns and saws, plus gardening tools and many other items. Your hands stay free on the ladder, and the tool does not end up on the floor or the top step.
The hook is steel and the base is plastic, in black and yellow. It weighs about 0.13 lb, so it adds almost nothing to your belt. The hook is designed for left or right hand use, and it installs easily. Set it on the side where your working hand drops without thinking.

Use and care

Ok Not Great
It worked but it did not fit my Makita driver that well. Had issues with it falling out. Also it is somewhat awkward to work with it on belt because of its design it gets caught on everything. Good for certain applications but not so good for others.
Must buy if you have a cordless drill
Wish I knew of these years ago. So helpful when on a ladder or juggling drill and drivers. Can be used without having to use a full toolbelt. Great gift for any DIYer or new home owner.
Works
Worked for holding your heavy tool. I just used the hand holding loop area of a the tool. Stick it on my belt. Works fine.
