What the McGuire-Nicholas lineup is made of
Leather that takes the abuse
Most of our belts, pouches and holders are leather, and the type changes with the job. Oil-tanned leather is soft and shrugs off damp mornings. Saddle leather is stiff, so a plier holder keeps its shape and your pliers drop straight in. Suede is light and grips the tools you stuff into it. Rivets sit at the stress points, and roller buckles hold a loaded belt without slipping.
Nylon where weight matters
Leather gets heavy once a rig is full. For long days the lineup turns to ballistic nylon and 600D polyester, which weigh less and don't mind rain. The suspension framing rig pairs a gel foam belt with padded suspenders and a moisture-wicking lining. Smaller nylon pieces, like the mini organizer and the quad carry holders, clip onto any belt you already own.
Knees, backs and buckets
Kneeling on tile or concrete is where a day hurts most, so the knee pad aisle is our largest. You pick between gel and foam, hard caps and soft ones, and caps that won't mark a finished floor. Suspenders move the load of a heavy belt onto your shoulders. Bucket organizers turn a 5 gallon pail into a tool caddy.

What size tool belt do I need?
Our leather work belts list a waist range. The 2-3/4 in oil-tanned belt fits 29 to 46 in, the basket weave XL belt fits 44 to 54 in, and the leather rigs fit up to 50 in. Measure over your work pants, since a loaded belt sits lower than a dress belt.
Which knee pads won't scratch a finished floor?
Look for a non-marring cap. The Monster All Terrain pads, both non-marring pairs and the Floor Walker gel pads carry caps the maker describes as safe on hardwood, tile, laminate or vinyl. Hard shell caps are for concrete, roofs and rough ground.
Leather or nylon: which should I pick?
Leather molds to you over time and handles heat and sparks better. Nylon weighs less, dries faster and often comes with padding. Framers who carry a full load all day tend to go nylon with suspenders, while electricians often keep a leather pouch for pliers and tape.
