A fixed hammer loop can twist the handle into your leg when you climb or crouch. A swinging holder lets the hammer hang straight down from its pivot. You drop the handle through, the head rests on the steel loop, and the tool stays out of your way until you need it. Then you pull it free with one hand.
The holder pairs a tan leather hanger with a steel loop. Slide it onto your work belt next to your pouches, on the side of your hammer hand. It matches tan leather belts such as our 2 in Roller Buckle Belt 960. Check that the handle of your hammer passes through the loop before you head out to the site.

Use and care

Works great
Works great. I wish the leather quality was a little more "finished" for outdoors use.. I have oiled it with neatsfoot and I am generally happy with it.
